Just Before We Start:
Let’s take one last look at the script so the recording goes smoothly. Here’s a check list:
My script is ready, what now?
We’ll provide you with a simple, easy to use production form to fill out prior to recording. This gives us all the information we need to produce your audio. As soon as we’ve received the form together with your script, we can give you an immediate and competitive quote.
How Much Does It Cost?
Prices vary according to length, style, the number of performers etc.
We provide very experienced, highly skilled narrators and actors, high quality editing and proofreading, audio mastering and excellent quality control.
Send us a script with a few details for an immediate and competitive quote.
Can I Test A Voice?
Absolutely, we will provide four auditions (usually two male and two female) for your review at no charge. If we’ve had the opportunity to chat on the phone we will probably suggest the ideal talent to you, or if you have chosen some talent from our talent page, just send us a paragraph or two of your script and we will send you audio samples usually within 48 hours.
How Long Does It Take?
Naturally, this would depend on the amount of copy, but here at Schtung Media, we pride ourselves in providing our clients with a fast efficient service. Sometimes even your best laid plans can go awry, and we are here to help. We do provide rush services when necessary with the same quality and attention to detail as our normal production times.
Let’s take one last look at the script so the recording goes smoothly. Here’s a check list:
- Is it easy to read? Make it so. Try reading it out loud to a colleague to make sure.
- Is it legible? Most professional scripts are 1.5 or 2.0 (double spaced) with a minimum font size of 12 point. Comic Sans is not a fun font to read! Times New Roman and Cambria (Theme Body) are popular.
- Has it been thoroughly checked for errors, both typographical and grammatical?
- Is it the right length time-wise? Remember, if you’ve translated from a foreign language your copy may take longer or shorter to read than the original.
- It is understandable by its intended demographic? Consider age, gender and geographical location.
- Provide pronunciation guides where necessary and indicate acronyms. These are highlighted in blue on your script. (\prə-ˌnən(t)-sē-ˈā-shən) and (U-S-A) with dashes to indicate an acronym.
- Indicate emphasized words, underlining is common practice.
- If you need it on the script but you don’t want it read, color it red.
- Indicate pauses with an ellipsis (three dots) or (pause).
